I am inspired by Life.  To capture a personality, a moment and the true essence of whatever I am painting is what drives me. As I observe the world around me, I will see someone sitting in a beautiful pose and know I need to capture that gesture at that moment

    7 December 2016

This Holiday Season we are proud to be hosting “Giving HeARTfully” A Cocktail Reception and Art Raffle to benefit the Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children.
Local watercolor artist Andrea Merican will be creating a one-of-a-kind painting to be raffled at the event.

All proceeds will benefit the organization.

The Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foundation whose mission is to provide social, emotional and financial support to children and families facing pediatric cancer. Chrisie Funari is the Founder of the organization and was inspired to create hope in the lives of others after having personally endured the challenges childhood cancer faces when her 18 month old daughter was diagnosed with stage 4 Neuroblastoma. The foundation provides families with travel assistance, financial planning, financial assistance, and helps fund pediatric cancer research. Through the support of donors and volunteers, the Arizona Cancer Foundation for Children continues to make an impact in the lives of many individuals in the community.

  • Helping Others Through Art: By Tesseract Student Artists

    5 December 2015

This is Calvin Charles Gallery & Tesseract’s second year donating artwork and gallery space to raise money and awareness for Tumbleweed, an organization that offers resources and services to homeless youth in our area. This year the money earned by the sale of each work of art will buy shoes for those in need.  Due to the need for shoes, the idiom “don’t judge until you’ve walked a mile in someone’s shoes” became the driving idea behind our exhibition.

  • ‘Expressing Me…..For You’

    11 December 2014

We were glad to open the gallery to the Tumbleweed project. ‘Expressing me . . for you’ was put together to gift a warm coat to a homeless teen with the purchase of a student’s artwork. We thank the young artists/students (2nd, 3rd, & 4th graders) who provided the artwork and to all who contributed to this wonderful event!
